Oysters can filter sewage, but they can also retain it, as the diners at Heston Blumenthal’s Fat Duck restaurant have found to their gastro-intestinal cost. I don’t like seafood anyway. Sewage-flavoured seafood only convinces me to stay away from the fishy, briny stuff.
